Join Alkemie at All Saints Episcopal Church to celebrate the release of A Worthy Mirror, our new album of Medieval poetry and contemporary music.
Eight centuries ago, women poet-composers known as trobairitz wrote about love, lust, longing, and everything in between. Alkemie and cellist Amanda Gookin perform music from their 13th-century world alongside new compositions by eight female and non-binary composers in a spirited conversation where Medieval voices meet contemporary imaginations, and everyone gets a chance to talk back.
This concert will be followed by a reception.
