Love to My Liking

Lady troubadours get an album release. Finally.

Eight centuries ago, women poet-composers known as trobairitz wrote about love, lust, longing, and everything in between.

For this special pair of album release concerts, Alkemie and cellist Amanda Gookin perform music from the trobairitz’ 13th-century world alongside new compositions by eight female and non-binary composers. Join us for a spirited conversation where Medieval voices meet contemporary imaginations, and everyone gets a chance to talk back.
